Caritas Australia and their local partners support people in need around the world. They assist them to break free from the cycle of poverty, regardless of their ethnicity, political beliefs, gender or religion.
McAuley House supports McAuley Community Services for Women as its Charity. McAuley Community Services for Women provides accommodation for women who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, 24-hour crisis accommodation as well as refuges for women and their children escaping family violence.
Chisholm House supports the Caroline Chisholm Society as its House Charity. The Caroline Chisholm Society offers support to pregnant women and parents with children up to school age via counselling, housing, material aid and family support.
Flynn House supports the Diamond Creek Conference of the St. Vincent de Paul Society as its House Charity. The St. Vincent de Paul Society cares for families and individuals in need by providing practical assistance, advocacy and friendship to the most vulnerable in our community. The Society also provides assistance to migrants and refugees seeking to rebuild their lives in a new country.
MacKillop House supports MacKillop Family Services as its House Charity. MacKillop Family Services provides specialist support services to vulnerable and disadvantaged children, young people and their families. Their services include supporting families experiencing disadvantage or crisis, assisting young people who are unable to live at home and offering education and training services for young people.
Mannix House supports the Brosnan Youth Centre which is an agency of Jesuit Social Services. In fulfilling their mission of standing in solidarity with those in need and expressing a faith that does justice, the Brosnan Youth Centre works specifically with disadvantaged young people who have been released from custody or otherwise been involved in the criminal justice system and have limited community and family support.
Xavier House supports Jesuit Mission as its House Charity. Jesuit Mission promotes relief from poverty and the establishment and ongoing development of the Jesuits by offering financial support, spiritual and human solidarity in developing countries and in areas of great need such as India, Cambodia and East Timor.
