On Friday, 5 December, our College community gathered to celebrate the achievements, dedication, and spirit that defined 2025 at our annual Awards Ceremony. This special event was a fitting conclusion to a year marked by outstanding academic success, vibrant co-curricular involvement, and inspiring leadership from our students.
The evening commenced with two exceptional addresses that set the tone for the celebration. Gianna Lucas (L:04-09), our Guest Speaker, delivered a powerful and uplifting message about resilience, purpose, and the importance of embracing opportunities. Her words resonated deeply with students and families alike, reminding us of the limitless potential within each individual. Equally inspiring was the address from Matilda Zupan, Chairperson of our School Advisory Council, who spoke passionately about the strength of community and the shared commitment to nurturing future leaders.
Throughout the ceremony, we proudly acknowledged students who excelled across a broad spectrum of fields—academic achievement, co-curricular pursuits, and leadership roles. These awards reflect not only individual talent and perseverance but also the collaborative spirit that defines our College.
A highlight of the evening was the announcement of this year’s College Medals, honouring those who have made extraordinary contributions to our community:
- Loyola Medal: Presented to Peter Keegan, a long-serving staff member whose dedication and service have profoundly shaped the life of the College.
- Jesuit Medal: Awarded to Karen Street, a long-serving parent whose unwavering support and commitment have enriched our community for many years.
- St Ignatius Medal: Bestowed upon Annie Clarke, a Year 12 student whose leadership, integrity, and generosity exemplify the Ignatian values we hold dear.
These recipients embody the very essence of our mission—service, excellence, and faith in action.
As we reflect on the achievements of 2025, we celebrate not only the award winners but every student who contributed to the vibrant life of our College. Their efforts remind us that success is measured not only in accolades but in the growth, resilience, and character developed along the way.
Congratulations to all award recipients, and thank you to our staff, families, and community for making this year truly remarkable. Here’s to continuing the journey of excellence in 2026!
