Dear parents, staff and students,
Hi! We are Emma and Hayden, and we are the 2026 MacKillop House Captains.
This year has been nothing short of incredible, and we are so proud of how much we have achieved as a house.
Firstly, we want to recognise the support and spirit that has been shown so far. Every helping hand has made a difference, and we are so grateful for everyone’s effort.
From events such as the Swimming carnival, Athletics carnival, house eisteddfod, and more recently house public speaking. While we know how it can be scary to step outside of your comfort zones, and the effort MacKillop students have put into activities thus far has been inspiring and does not go unnoticed.
We are also looking forward to running our House fundraising event in support of MacKillop family services by selling hot jam donuts and hot chocolates which will be perfect for the cold weather!
Finally, we would like to thank our head of house Ms Oktay, and our amazing mentors on behalf of MacKillop House students. The support shown to us makes the biggest impacts to our experience at school and brings us closer together as a house. We appreciate all the advice, friendly chats and support shown on a daily basis.

Our student of the fortnight is a year 7 student, Cedric O’Brien, who has raised an incredible $200 so far in our 2026 walk for others fundraising initiative.
Cedric has demonstrated the MacKillop spirit and striving for success in his endeavours to raise money so early in the fundraising process. By committing to raise as much money for MacKillop family services as possible, Cedric has continued to set a record for Raising money for MacKillop Family services.
Cedric has shown what we as captain wish everyone in MacKillop to put forth. Through fundraising efforts such as Cedric’s each dollar goes towards a cause that actively benefits family from around New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia.
