On Sunday, the Alliance Française de Melbourne hosted the thrilling grand finale of the Berthe Mouchette Competition, marking a proud moment for all participants.

As one of the most cherished events promoting French language and culture among Victorian students, this competition has been inspiring young minds since its founding in the late 19th century.

This year, three outstanding finalists took the stage one final time, reciting their poems with poise, passion, and impeccable French pronunciation. These young poets exemplified the courage and dedication the Berthe Mouchette Poetry Competition is known for fostering.

A heartfelt congratulations to our talented finalists:

Laura Greig (9XJGA)

Isabel Schembri (9MMJT)

Madelyn Wee (9KMLE)

The Languages Faculty and the entire Loyola College community are incredibly proud of you and of all the students who took part in this enriching experience.
